Anti-socialism during Hang-outs? Here’s a game to solve that!

Introducing a new game called:

“Don’t Be Anti-Social During Meals With Friends.”

Everyone puts their phones in the middle of the table. Whoever cracks first by touching their phone, pays for the entire meal.

The purpose of the game was to get everyone off their phones, away from twitter, facebook, texting, etc and to encourage conversations. In other words, help cure the “Anti-Social Social Media Craziness.”

Rules:

1) The game starts after everyone sits down.

2) Everybody places their phone in the middle of the table.

3) The first person to touch their phone loses the game.

4) Loser of the game pays the bill for everyone’s meal.

5) If the bill comes before anyone has touched their phone, everybody is declared a winner and pays for their own meal.

We had a blast. Conversation rocked. Everyone loved it.

Are You Game? Are you willing to turn the tide of anti-social behavior? What do you think?!?

I saw this post on G+ and thought I’d share it. Here’s the original: https://plus.google.com/u/0/109298660552407000371/posts/76nKSdrNxBH

  1. I bid farewell to my cell not long after my first child. I had no need for it once I was staying home, so I cancelled my service planning to have it back once I went back to work. Well, it’S been over two years now without one and frankly, I love it. There are some times I wish I had one, (like when the car broke down on the highway while I was 7 months preggers with baby #2), but they are few and far inbetween.

Sounds like a great game. One where I would always win!

    1. Wow, what luck with not having a phone when your car breaks down. That’s definitely a rare occasion though.

For me, I need a phone. We don’t have a house phone and don’t plan on it since Cell’s are so much more convenient. I’m not so great with directions so the phone Navigation is a life saver. lol. Other than that, my wife’s the only one that calls me (she likes to keep me in check).

  2. Wow, I might just try this. It’s ridiculous how much people prefer to play on their phones rather than actually have a face-to-face conversation nowadays.

By the way, your dog has way more adventures than anyone I know! 🙂

    1. lol. Definitely. Everytime I’m out with friends, you can bet there’s always that one person and it causes a chain reaction.

My dog just seems so bored at home so I try to keep her as active as possible. lol. Definitely a good thing for the both of us.
